Once the British car industry got up and running again after WWII, the JAGUAR two-seater XK120s and XK140s were the most stunning sports cars out of England in the immediate postwar period. Highly successful in racing, it was a sleek, gorgeous roadster whose chariot-like lines still look superfine half a century later. Elton John has owned several of these beauties. Chevrolet's first Corvettes (in 1953) and Ford's earliest Thunderbirds (1955), were both attempts by Detroit at making an American competitor for the XK. So this is really The One That Started It All.
This, the first of our two XK120 designs, shows the car in Side View. The full-frontal close-up is here.
